Vicious Games Site redesigned on other platform

Vicious Games’s Website was redone on another platform people. The real reason was not how bad the site was but how unlikely it was going to end in the search results. It had 0% chance of making it due to the fucking wix site removing the option to verify your ownership of the site to google for free accounts. I left there as soon as possible.  And since jimdo puts their own sites in search results for free I decided to make another site there instead, and here we are, vicious games is now on jimdo. You can find the link here.

In sad news, I had to ditch the blog that was posting gamedev diaries there. Jimdo’s site will NOT get them due to the fact that a blog is not something I can put in on jimdo. It sucks but It is what it is. I replicated 90% of the site on jimdo and I’m happy with it.

Anyway, I am not too happy with Either site platform now, neither can make an ideal site and getting it into search results is a PRIORITY for me, so I think website providers need to work better with google’s search console. It sucks that there is NO WAY to paste in header codes on ANY of these site providers unless you pay them.  I don’t know if greed is a factor here, But  I think it is, I guess they want people to pay them first, THEN they allow their sites into google, but not before. Google and other search engines are NOT helping by making you do bullshit to verify your ownership of a site, why can’t they trust people’s statements that they are owners? It boggles the mind.  It’s like they are trying to prevent people from putting other sites they don’t own on google, but  what good does that do? All it does is cut out website provider users who want to stick with the free account, because NO free account works these days with google website ownership verification, not even WIX!
