I made a new updated version of Onslaught 1 on Itch.io recently… The new Edition is called the Onslaught : Extreme Combat Reborn Special Edition. It includes the following features…
-The base onslaught game with bug fixes and improved effects and gore
-New levelsets allowing you to play updated Onslaught 2 and 3 maps in Onslaught 1
-Hardcore Mapsets 1-5 – allowing you to play up to 150 new maps to challenge the hell out of you!
-New Oneliners from Onslaught 2 and 3
This new version will replace the old version on itch.io from now on… the gore effects look insanely gory now and totally nail the original concept… To run the new version go here:

Download it and extract it to a new folder like C:\onsse (Whatever you do do NOT install to your old C:\ons folder). Run the onsxp.bat to play the original game… Run the following commands from a windows run box to play addon content:
C:\onsse\onsxp.bat ons2lev.wad (runs onslaught 2 levels)
C:\onsse\onsxp.bat ons3lev.wad (runs onslaught 3 levels)
C:\onsse\onsxp.bat onsxp1.wad (runs hardcore levelset 1)
C:\onsse\onsxp.bat onsxp2.wad (runs hardcore levelset 2)
C:\onsse\onsxp.bat onsxp3.wad (runs hardcore levelset 3)
C:\onsse\onsxp.bat onsxp4.wad (runs hardcore levelset 4)
C:\onsse\onsxp.bat onsxp5.wad (runs hardcore levelset 5)
Now thanks to Bolognese gore, Onslaught is gory as hell like it was intended… Gone are the crappy blood effects from the original game… Gone are the eating guts for health and that makes it more difficult now. Newly added lighting effects add more dynamic lighting to levels and that makes it creepier…
Hardcore levels:
if you want a challenge play the hardcore levels… Hardcore levelset 1 is about the same difficulty as onslaught 3. So is hardcore levelset 2. But 3-5 are much tougher and levelset 5 should prove to be an extreme challenge for Ons fans!
